Robert Pattinson is too scared to buy a house because he's worried he may not be able to afford the mortgage payments if his acting career slumps.

The Twilight hunk recently toyed with the idea of investing his money in a Los Angeles home, but reconsidered over fears he may not land any more movie roles. He explains, "I've been forced to stay in a hotel for the last three years, which is frustrating. I almost gave in and bought a house in Hollywood. But luckily I realized how insanely expensive that is and I don't even know if I'll still be working next year." (LR/WNWC/MJ)
