Katy Perry is planning to become a British citizen after she marries funnyman Russell Brand. The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker is set to wed the funnyman later this year (10) and, to make life easier as she jets between her native America and the U.K., the singer is eyeing dual-citizenship.

She says, "I love London and just being here. I've decided that when the day does come, I will become a dual citizen. Then I can just pass through customs real quick."

And the singer expects to cut through the red tape really easily - because she's so well known already in Britain. She tells chat show host Alan Carr, "You've already kind of adopted me, so maybe I don't have to go through all the paperwork?" (CL/WNWCMIR/KL)
