Peter Facinelli And Jennie Garth Headed For Divorce Court

After eleven years, three beautiful children and thousands of memories, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli’s marriage is headed for divorce court. Long consider to be a happy union, whispers of problems in the relationship first began hitting the Internet last year. It was rumored the Twilight and Nurse Jackie star moved out of the house, but since neither party addressed the allegations, the story kind of just died. At least until today when a joint statement was released asking for privacy and promising a continued partnership and commitment for the sake of the children.

According to E! News, everyone near the situation is being very tight-lipped as far as reasons why the marriage may have gone South. Given that, it seems likely the divorce is more a matter of growing apart than any one single mistake by either person, but without confirmation, that’s just guess work at this point. Here’s the official statement…

"While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.”

Facinelli and Garth first met in 1996 on the set of an Unfinished Affair. She was in the midst of her run as Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills 90210, and he was just beginning to come into his own as an actor. They were officially married five years later, had three daughters and led a relatively quiet life outside work until now.

Pop Blend’s thoughts go out to both Garth and Facinelli as they attempt to move forward apart, but more importantly, they also go out to the couple’s children as they adjust to the new life arrangement. Here’s to hoping they all continue to get along and work as a family in making important decisions.
