Russell Armstrong Given First Of Two Funerals, Should Bravo Have Filmed It?

Businessman and Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Russell Armstrong was honored by some of his friends and family members last night in a Hollywood Hills ceremony at the Church of the Hills-Forest Lawn. It was just the first of two services the deceased husband will have thanks in part to his family and estranged wife’s unwillingness to cooperate. His remains will be escorted back to Texas for a second memorial later this week.
Noticeably absent from Wednesday’s funeral were cameras. Bravo shied away from the ceremony, likely thanks to members of Armstrong’s family complaining about how Bravo exploited their deceased relative. He was reportedly very concerned about how he would be portrayed in the show’s upcoming second installment because of allegations of domestic abuse and a lawsuit stemming from a business deal that went south.
According to The Wrap, Armstrong’s family has publically pinned the blame for Armstrong’s suicide on the Real Housewives franchise, and one of his sisters reportedly told his estranged wife Taylor she could go to hell. No doubt the bickering and in-fighting between those who knew the venture capitalist best wouldn’t have exactly made him proud, but it does seem clear from his last weeks that he wasn’t overly pleased with Bravo either.
Still, he signed a contract to appear on Real Housewives, and no one forced him to behave the way he did. So, all that begs the question, do you think Real Housewives should have filmed his funeral? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
