Russell Crowe And His Wife Are Reportedly Done After 9 Years
By Mack Rawden 4 years ago
After nine years of marriage and twenty-two years of at least friendship, Russell Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer have reportedly decided to go their separate ways. Neither of the soon-to-be ex-spouses has spoken publically about why the union didnít make it over the long haul, but most of the rumors point to all the time they have spent apart over the past few years.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the coupleís children go to school in Sydney and live full time with their mother. Crowe comes home as often as he can, but recently, the actor shot two movies back to back in foreign countries. Assumedly, that put a strain on the relationship with his wife, but itís unclear whether there were any other pressing factors.
Crowe and Spencer met on a film set more than two decades ago. They began dating almost immediately, but as his career took off and he began working more in the States, he dated other people including actress Meg Ryan. In the early Ď00s, they found their way back together and were married in 2003. She supposedly signed a prenup that will net her somewhere around $25 million of his $100 million fortune, which, as prenups go, is pretty generous. Itís possible she could try to challenge for more, however; so, weíll keep you updated on that front.
Pop Blendís sincerest thoughts go out to Crowe, Spencer and their children. Hereís to hoping whatever follows will be in everyoneís best interests.
