Shakira’s been busy planning for her baby for a while, posting pictures and other relevant baby information to Twitter. While pregnant photography is becoming more and more common, I still can’t get over the weird bare approach to baby bellies, as Shakira and her husband, Gerard Piqué have opted for. Still, to each his or her own, and if ever there was a more attractive baby belly than Shakira’s, I haven’t seen it.
Though the couple haven’t released the baby’s official due date, we do know a little boy is coming, and by the looks of things, coming soon. To help fuel this fact, Shakira and Piqué have decided to throw a virtual, Internet-only shower for their baby, with a twist. It’s likely the couple already has everything needed to adequately care for and even spoil a new baby, and so they’ve partnered up with UNICEF to host an online shower where friends and even fans can donate money to a good cause. The money will go to babies around the world and will be used to purchase items like mosquito nets, polio vaccines, and even food for children who don’t get to eat enough on a daily basis.
