All apologies to those of you with missing finger fetishes, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf will not be getting his pinky amputated contrary to what you may have read in Star Magazine or here on this website. The former mascot for McKinley High was, as I’m sure all of you gossip whores know by now, involved in a serious car accident, while under the influence of booze.

According to Zap2It, he’s still considering a rehab stint, I suspect as a publicist move to pacify his more conservative fans, for the D.U.I. debacle. I’m in support of it, if he really needs to get his life together, but sometimes even cleanish-leaving citizens make colossal mistakes.

Here’s to hoping Shia makes a full recovery and heads back to the Transformers II set in order to give the world another superficially entertaining blockbuster.
