Singer Anastacia Battling Breast Cancer For The Second Time

Singer Anastacia has been hit with a pretty big health blow for a second time. The “Welcome to My Truth” singer has been diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time and this time around, it will mean bad news for fans, as well. In order to focus on her treatment, the 44-year-old singer is cancelling her European tour this spring.

The singer was first diagnosed with breast cancer about a decade ago when she was thinking of getting a breast reduction to help her with back strain. In order to consider that procedure, a routine mammogram was accomplished, which caught the cancer fairly early. After surgery and radiotherapy, her battle with cancer seemed to be over, but that was not to be the case.

In a statement on her website the singer talks about her disappointment in having to cancel her big tour, which was set to kick off in London on April 6.

"I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to 'It's A Man's World Tour'. It just breaks my heart to disappoint them"

The singer has also confirmed the news via Twitter, saying she is ready for the long fight. Despite the cancelled tour and the crushing disappointment that must have come with her diagnosis, the singer says she wants to move forward with the creation of her new album, which is admirable in the face of disease. Additionally, all of her fans will be able to refund their tickets. We wish her the best to Anastacia as she faces one of the toughest journeys a woman may ever have to face—for a second time—in the coming months.
