Britney Spears' two-year-old son Jayden James is expected to be discharged from a Mississippi hospital on Tuesday (11Nov08) after an allergic reaction prompted the pop star to rush him to doctor's care on Sunday (09Nov08).

Early reports suggested Spears took the youngster to the emergency room at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center at 1:30 p.m after her had suffered a seizure. The toddler apparently collapsed at the star's family home - 25 miles away in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

A spokesperson for Spears says on the singer's website: "Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow (11Nov08)."

Jayden James is the singer's second son with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The couple also share three-year-old Sean Preston. (JMA/WNWCPL/MJ)
