Susan Sarandon's Daughter Eva Amurri Ties The Knot
By Jessica Grabert 4 years ago
I’ve always liked Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri. She was excellent in Saved! and her much quieter portrayal of Grace Berry in Middle of Nowhere always stood out to me. It’s unfortunate the actress has never quite been the stuff of large headlines and big budgets –excepting the content of her recurring role on Californications. Maybe that’s generally how she likes it. It is certainly how she wanted her wedding.
Amurri married former MLS soccer player Kyle Martino on Saturday. The wedding was held in Charleston, South Carolina where Martino’s parents live. The nuptials were hosted by Sarandon and her ex-hubby Tim Robbins. Although Robbins is not Amurri’s biological father (that honor goes to director Franco Amurri), he was the dude who raised Amurri while she was growing up. It’s pretty stand-up that he is still involved even after his relationship with Sarandon ended.
Enough about Tim Robbins, Saturday was Amurri’s day and as such let’s talk about what the bridal party wore. Lela Rose –who is like the Jason Wu of a decade ago, having come to prominence after dressing the women in the Bush family – won the honors. Lela Rose has more recently branched into bridal wear and with her newfound skills she capably dressed Amurri, Sarandon, and the bridesmaids.
A South Carolina wedding in the fall sounds astounding. A South Carolina wedding in the fall featuring designer bridal clothing and a host of celebrities sounds like a whole lot of fun. Here’s to hoping Amurri and Martino enjoy a quiet, headline-free life together.
