Target Misses The Mark On Missoni Popularity

The wearable designer collection that took Missoni over a year to create with Target sold out in many stores across the country in a few mere hours. If you were there and surrounded by carts containing hundreds of dollars or more in merchandise, you could probably see how this is possible. If not, the whole process may be a bit baffling. You just need to understand itís all about the zigzagís.

Since Target sent out a limited supply of Missoni products to stores, the selling out in-store is not the impressive part. What is impressive is Missoni purchasers managed to crash Targetís website repeatedly. The site has been down off and on Tuesday, with unlucky visitors greeted by Targetís little stuffed pup, Bullseye, and a message:
ďWoof! We are suddenly extremely popular. You may not be able to access our site momentarily due to unusually high traffic. Please stay here and we'll try to get to you in as soon as we can! We're up and running here."

Take it from me, if you were planning on checking a wedding registration list on the storeís site, today is probably not the day.

If you canít find a coveted item, there's still hope but you'll have to pay. International Business Times has a list of a few products being resold on eBay for double or triple or more the price. In one instance, a Missoni Candle made for Target retailing at $12.99 is being sold for $49.99. Purchases are all about prioritizing, so it's a simple matter of deciding what things are worth to you. Iím just happy I managed to purchase my zigzag tights.
