Golfing ace TIGER WOODS and wife ELIN NORDEGREN are expecting their first child this summer (07).

Woods broke the happy news on his website on Saturday (30DEC06), admitting he wishes his dad EARL WOODS, who died of cancer in May (06), was alive to share his joy. Woods married the stunning Swede in October 2004, revealing at the time the couple wanted children "sooner rather than later".

He says, "We couldn't be happier and our families are thrilled. I have always wanted to be a dad. I just wish my father could be around to share the experience."
