Hollywood star Tori Spelling has started work on a tell-all memoir in a bid to set the record straight about the events of her life.

The actress has lived much her life in the public eye, she was just 16 when she was cast as Donna Martin in her father Aaron Spelling's hit show Beverly Hills 90210.

In an excerpt of the forthcoming tome featured in the latest issue of American magazine People, she writes: "I spent so many years in the media having people tell stories about my life, so I figured I might as well tell the true stories about my life this time."

And the 34-year-old insists the details divulged in the book may even shock her actor husband Dean McDermott: "Nobody's read it! Not even Dean!" (PAW/WNWCAXH/LR)
