Would Kris Humphries Really Miss The Playoffs To Screw Kim Kardashian?
By Mack Rawden 2 years ago
Earlier this month, a judge in the hilariously still ongoing divorce proceedings of Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian announced the trial will take place on May 6th and last roughly five days. The NBA player was hoping to push the matter back as long as possible, but while a little less than three months is a start, it could create a huge problem for him down the road thanks to the NBA Playoffs.
Humphries is a reserve power forward for the Brooklyn Nets who actually is in the rotation, and if his team makes it to the second round, which is a distinct possibility, the trial would likely overlap the games. When the date was first announced, an overwhelming majority of observers assumed Humphries would just miss the trial and have his lawyer handle the specifics if the Nets were still alive, but sources close to the situation reportedly told TMZ Kris would actually blow off games in order to stick it to Kim.
The animosity between Kim and Kris is very well documented at this point. He absolutely despises her, is convinced she never loved him and wants to take her for everything she’s worth. Given all that hate, it’s not unbelievable that he would prioritize that over basketball, but it still would infuriate his teammates and his owner, as well as put his own contract in jeopardy.
