Every year, men and women enter the Big Brother house with the hope of leaving with a prize big enough to change their lives. Worst-case scenario, they expect to pick right back up where they left off in their real lives following the conclusion of the game. Sometimes, depending on what is done or said inside the house, however, returning without the slightest alteration isn’t so easy. In fact, for contestant GinaMarie Zimmerman, that goal is now impossible.

Recently on one of the live feeds, Zimmerman was picked up by one of the cameras calling welfare “nigger insurance”. Obviously, the completely unacceptable and racist comment caused immediate outrage among viewers, and when word got back to GinaMarie’s employers, they immediately canned her.

You can take a look at footage of the incident in question below, as well as a bonus racist comment for the hell of it…

According to TMZ, Zimmerman, until the aforementioned comments happened, worked for East Coast USA Pageant. The thirty-two-year-old organized pageants for more than five years and was considered an upstanding and reputable member of the team. Since the incident, however, her now former employer has blasted her with a venom aggressive enough to create immediate distance.

Here’s a portion of East Coast USA Pageant’s statement…
"We have never known this side of GinaMarie or have ever witnessed such acts of racism in the past. We are actually thankful that this show let us see GinaMarie for who she truly is. We would never want her to be a role model to our future contestants. In a business where we are surrounded by beauty every day we are saddened to see something so ugly come from someone we put on a very high pedestal."

Because of Big Brother’s basic format, GinaMarie likely won’t have any idea about her firing until she’s booted from the show. No doubt the decision will prove a disappointing shock to her, but I suspect her disappointment related to the job will pale in comparison to realizing the American viewing public now considers her a stone cold racist. As Paula Deen has discovered, racist allegations aren’t exactly the easiest to come back from either, and fortunately for Deen, she actually has clear, definable talent.

We’ll keep you updated on this Big Brother racism mess as more details start to emerge. Until then, either get with the program in terms of racial equality or shut your damn mouth when there are cameras around.
