Coldplay performed a fantastic set at Lollapalooza two weekends ago. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfallwas released on June 3rd and gave fans a long awaited preview for their next album. Since the EP came out, the British band has been playing shows and headlining festivals, once again assimilating into popular culture. Now it’s finally time for them to release another inevitable smash hit. Mylo Xyloto is the follow up to 2008’s Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends and will be the next record from the “Clocks” hit-makers.

Their latest record will be released October 24th in the UK and October 25th in the US, and the news comes from their official website. Giving all Coldplay fans a juicy bit of information to start their weekend off, the details were released on Friday, August 12th. The group explains that Mylo Xyloto will be released in digital, CD and vinyl forms. For a limited amount of fans who are willing to pay an arm and a leg, they can also receive a 12″ x 36″ poster, a Pop-Up Album version, plus a 12″ x 12″ hardback book containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A. Carter, and other content including photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and the band’s personal notebooks. Besides all of that exclusive content, normal CD’s and a 180-gram vinyl edition will also be available.

The track list hasn’t been released yet, though I’m sure it won’t be too long until we see it, as the album's second single “Paradise” will be released September 12th. More than likely the group will continue to succeed in every facet of music they make. Since their smash hit “Clocks,” the UK outfit has made millions of dollars on their niche. Not everybody enjoys the moody style of Coldplay’s music, but they have proved to be successful in the past. I’m quite sure that’ll transition well on Mylo Xyloto too.
