Love it or hate it, Lindsay Lohan's photoshoot for Playboy is one of the magazine's most talked about spreads in years. At first I didn't think the issue would cause much of an uproar since Lindsay already did a Marilyn Monroe-inspired nude photoshoot for New York Magazine in 2008, but TMZ has reported that the issue is selling out in major cities like New York and Los Angeles.

Legendary Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is speaking out about his decision to not only feature Lohan in the periodical, but his push for a more revealing spread. According to Hefner, Lohan's mother and manager Dina had reservations about her 25-year-old daughter undressing for the shoot.

I think it was essentially mama and the folks around her that kept pushing for less nudity. And I said, 'We're doing a nude pictorial here. We're going to do it in a very classy way and we're going to do it in a way in which it will not be forgotten.'

Some people are actually calling Hefner a creep because of this statement, which is mind boggling to me. While I understand a mother not being thrilled about her daughter stripping for the world, I think it's kind of funny that anyone would try and get Hef to agree to a "less nude" photoshoot. This is not Marie Claire, it's freaking Playboy! If you don't want to hit the ball, don't step up to the plate. I remember when the same thing happened on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kris Jenner actually asked Hef if Kim Kardashian had to take off her clothes for her December 2007 appearance in the magazine. Give me a break.
