We all knew there would be some kind of fallout from the Drake/ Chris Brown situation, but I’m not sure many would have guessed it would be the club’s manager who first found himself in handcuffs. Jonathan Cantor, the head of SoHo’s Greenhouse/ WIP was taken into custody just a day after the hip-hop melee for what turned out to be completely unrelated issues.

The brouhaha at Greenhouse/ WIP first started a few days back when a VIP table featuring Drake and a VIP table featuring Chris Brown got into a vicious argument. Insults supposedly turned into punches which turned into bottle throws. No one seems to agree on exactly who did what, but multiple injuries were reported and everyone involved wound up with a PR black eye.

The next night, cops again descended on Greenhouse/ WIP, but this time it was reportedly for a noise violation. After interviewing Cantor, authorities supposedly discovered he had two outstanding warrants and hauled him off to jail. It’s unclear how much Thursday’s dust-up may have played a role, but the highly publicized brawl certainly didn’t help.

According to CBS Local, there may be another unintended consequences to this fiasco too. New York’s City Council has reportedly decided to re-investigate the bottle service laws in the area. There is some worry bottles could continue to be used as weapons, and given what happened here, that fear is probably founded. So, if two years from now, you're in the club and your server doesn't bring you the actual glass bottle, you'll know which rappers to mentally flip off.
