Giuliana Rancic Is Back To Work After Double Mastectomy
By Jessica Grabert 4 years ago
There are many adjectives that could be used in a mention of Giuliana Rancic, but I think Ďtrooperí would be the most acute in light of recent events. After battling breast cancer for a while, on December 5, Rancic announced she would brave a double mastectomy to kick the cancer for good. The E! News host decided to undergo the procedure a scant few days later on December 13, and then was already up and about more than expected the next day.
The holidays might be notable for a spike in suicides, but for Rancic, rest, relaxation, and time spent with her family seems to have been just the ticket for recovery. According to E! Online, Rancic returned to the E! News set earlier today. During her segments, she cheerfully spoke out about Matthew McConaughey and John Legendís engagements, as well as box office statistics and some news about MTVís Teen Mom.
The correspondent and reality star seemed to be genuinely excited about heading back to work today. She tweeted about it in the morning and later spoke out about returning to her job.
"Thankfully, I've been feeling better every single day since surgery and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work. Even though I moved a tad slower than usual today, everyone welcomed me back with open arms and it was a wonderful homecoming."
Itís no wonder. Sitting around and feeling helpless on a couch post-surgery only feels alright when you're in excruciating pain. Sometimes getting up and moving around, even if you are a little slower, really will make the post-surgery experience more bearable. Pop Blend is happy to see Rancic back before the New Year.
