Heath Ledger's hard-hitting animated video for indie rockers Modest Mouse has debuted online 18 months after the movie star's death. The actor started work on King Rat before his death in January 2008 and the promo was completed by his partners at film company The Masses.

The video features a cruise ship of killer whales hunting swimming humans, beating and skinning them before docking and selling their haul. The humans are turned into gingerbread men snacks and devoured by seals.

The dedication at the end of the bloody video reads, "This began with our friend, a great defender of life, and was completed in his spirit." (KL/WN/MT)
