Alec Baldwin may have gone out in a blaze of glory the last time he used Twitter, but apparently, the actor is ready to give the platform another try. Earlier this evening, he reactivated his account, which sat dormant for just over one month. The actor was famously booted off a plane for playing Words With Friends and responded by bashing on the airline in under one hundred and forty characters. In response to the incident, he decided to shut the door on Twitter, but like a sexy mistress, the platform drew him back in.

Love him or hate him, Alec Baldwin is a very entertaining man to follow. He consistently tweets his opinions on politics and life with little regard to who he might be offending. That openness probably drives his publicist crazy, but since I don’t hold that job, I’m all for Baldwin typing without a filter.

There’s been much speculation over the past year that actors would begin altering the way they use Twitter because of all the high profile incidents. Apart from Baldwin, Ashton Kutcher was recently savaged for complaining about Joe Paterno’s firing, and Kelly Clarkson received a noticeable backlash for her support of Ron Paul. To me, the magic of Twitter lies in its ability to give us celebrities without the PR machine. I like knowing Clarkson supports a Libertarian, and I even liked watching Kutcher frantically back pedal after he found out the real reason Joe Pa was fired.

As of press time, Baldwin’s yet to Tweet anything of interest, but if you follow him, it shouldn’t be long before he ruffles a few feathers.
