Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy Live Tour Announced
Simon Jones, who you may know as the longest tenured Arthur Dent has announced a live tour with the cast of the “original” The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. He made the announcement on the Radio 3 Breakfast Show, in which he said:
The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy is going on the road next year, with all the original principal members of the cast. We’re going to make stops in various cities around the country as ourselves reconstructing and reimagining a recording with live sound and live music and, well, watch this space because we’ll soon have how to book and where to go.
We're not entirely sure what Jones meant by the “original” cast, since both the radio and television shows were very well received. If you’d like to listen to Jones making the announcement, follow the link below to the segment in which the reveal is made (first discovered by Bleeding Cool.
Simon Jones last portrayed Dent in a 2003 radio series incarnation of Hitchhiker and played a bit part in the 2005 movie adaptation, which was the last time the popular books were adapted. Arthur Dent was played by Martin Freeman in that version, and the film was met with only mild critical success. (Although our head honcho, Josh Tyler gave it a healthy four stars.
