Hope Solo Accuses DWTS' Maksim Chmerkovskiy Of Slapping Her In The Face
By Mack Rawden 4 years ago
Just days after the former US Soccer coach was forced to deny he pushed goalie Hope Solo, a new allegation of inappropriate physical contact was made by the Olympian, this time against her Dancing With The Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. In her recently published book Solo: A Memoir Of Hope, she reportedly accuses the professional dancer of slapping her in the face and stomach during rehearsals.
According to People, Solo says she was nice about it and didn’t request a new partner because she “didn’t want to end (his) career”, but if you take it from Chmerkovskiy, there’s nothing nice about her allegation. He hit up Twitter yesterday to offer the following thoughts on the soccer player…
Always hated hypocrites and liars...but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can't win at someone's expense...
Far from the first time Solo’s words have generated controversy, the athlete was famously kicked off the national team during the World Cup for saying, had she played, she would have been better than goalkeeper Brianna Scurry. The allegation caused big problems within the US team, as did her revelation that she and several teammates showed up drunk to a Today Show interview following the gold medal game in 2008.
Without any witnesses to any of these incidents, we really have no way of knowing what happened. If anyone related to Dancing With The Stars comes forward to speak about the charges, we’ll bring you his or her comments.
