Jason Alexander, Britney Spears' Ex, Calls Her Engagement Fake

Yesterday, Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline shared some kind words about his former wife’s upcoming marriage to Jason Trawick. He glowingly talked of how much their kids like mom’s new fiancé, and he expressed hope that the impending nuptials to such a “good guy” were a sign she was “in a good place”. He could have taken a different route. He could have blasted the engagement to further his own agenda, but instead, he played nice out of respect for a woman he once loved. Unfortunately, Britney’s other ex-husband has not taken the same approach.

In an interview with US Weekly, Jason Alexander, the childhood friend Spears briefly married in 2004, called the pop star’s new romantic entanglement “fake” and “sad”. He also espoused a bit of a conspiracy theory...
"If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection. They look like they are going through the motions. It seems like a answer to the court thing."

The “court thing” he’s referring to is Britney being under the conservatorship of her father. He’s handled her fiancés for the past few years after her very public meltdown, but by all accounts, she’s flourished since having the monetary responsibilities taken away from her. In fact, a strong case could be made that, like Federline said, she’s in “a good place”.

Pop Blend wishes Spears and Trawick nothing but the best as they move forward. It’s very difficult to gauge how successful a celebrity relationship might be judging from the outside, but on paper, her new man seems like a good guy with a good job and lots of love for his future wife. That’s a great start, regardless of whether they have a “connection” in pictures or not.
