Jennifer Aniston Imprints Hands At Grauman's, Who's The Second Most Famous Friend?Author: Mack Rawden

Early this morning, former Friends star and serial dater Jennifer Aniston popped up outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater for her handprint ceremony. Beaming ear-to-ear, she plunged her appendages into Hollywood history, joining the likes of Sinatra, Hanks and Mirren. The whole thing might be a bit goofy and touristy, but it really does mean something. Grauman’s may have missed a few mega-stars over the years, but by and large, it’s a great, if incomplete slice of nostalgia.
Some of the angstier corners of the internet are already up in arms about Aniston being selected over more well-reviewed stars, but to be perfectly honest, Grauman’s Chinese Theater is about stardom, not talent. Jennifer Aniston at one point or another has 1) been the star of the most popular show on television, 2) had the most famous haircut in the world, 3) been in America’s favorite marriage, 4) suffered through America’s most bitter divorce, 5) dated Vince Vaughn, 6) dated John Mayer, 7) been on the cover of Rolling Stone naked, 8) starred in the best Mike Judge movie and 9) remained monumentally famous, even after a string of awful rom-coms. Jennifer Aniston is a fucking star. Plus, she is talented, lame as some of her films may have been. She deserves her place at Grauman’s. When Friends first hit the airwaves, a legitimate case could have been made as to why any of the six castmembers would have the longest and most acclaimed career. By the show’s conclusion in 2004, Aniston was definitely the biggest name, but she was far from the only one who found success. Matthew Perry had topped one hundred million in worldwide grosses with The Whole Nine Yards. Courteney Cox had been in all three Scream’s. Lisa Kudrow had made a fortune with Analyze This. David Schwimmer had been in Band Of Brothers, and Matt LeBlanc had done something with an ape no one saw. Now, seven years after the show ended its run, who would you say is the second most famous friend? Vote in the poll below and let us know what you think…
