Oh my God! Did you know Jessica Simpson is pregnant? Yes. Yes, I did, and so did the rest of the world. In fact, it’s been the world’s worst kept secret for the past few months, but apparently, the actress/ pop star still wanted a chance to tell the world herself. She did so earlier today on her official website with the caption “It’s True! I’m going to be a mummy!” Even better, she did so while wearing a mummy costume. Hooray for Halloween wordplay. Once upon a time, most people, regardless of their interest in pop culture, would have instantly known who the father would have been, whether it was during the time she was dating Nick Lachey or after when she was famously and perhaps unfortunately for Cowboys fans, with Tony Romo. Now her personal life is a bit more under the radar, but rest easy, this is not a Maury paternity test situation. Jessica Simpson has been with former NFL player Eric Johnson for awhile. The couple was engaged a little less than a year ago, and some reports have speculated they’re planning to marry within the next few months. Seeing as how the above Halloween costume is all white, I suppose she could go with that as a wedding dress, but something tells me she’d rather look beautiful than continue the mummy joke.
