Lady Gaga Considering 450 Date World Tour

A lot of different words could be used to describe Lady Gaga, but lazy is definitely not one of them. The busy pop star almost always goes big, and if the rumors are to be believed, her latest tour will be no exception. She’s reportedly mulling over a two year, four hundred and fifty date extravaganza that could well break the record for most money ever generated by a single grouping of dates.

The Sun broke the story and cited a source who’s apparently in on the details. The unnamed figure said the tour will likely start in Asia before systematically criss-crossing most of the world. U2 recently broke the all-time attendance record with the band’s two year jaunt, but given the sheer number of dates here, Gaga would likely not only break the record but smash it.

As with any tour, theater engagement or other artistic endeavor that monopolizes time, the real concern here is potential burnout. Four hundred and fifty dates over two years would mean Gaga would be playing more nights than not. Adrenaline and professionalism would likely carry her through the first hundred or so, but getting excited about stop number two hundred and eight in Des Moines might be a bit more of a challenge.

With Madonna committed to the Super Bowl, it’s not surprising Lady Gaga would make her own splash. For her sake and the little monsters everywhere, let’s hope this ends up being as grandiose and stunning as it seems.
