LeAnn Rimes Checks In To 30-Day Treatment Center
LeAnn Rimes has a busy few months coming up, with a new album, Spitfire, on the way and a fall tour planned. Regardless, she thinks it is high time she takes a break to deal with some pent up emotional issues. The star recently checked in to a 30-day in-patient treatment center to deal with some problems stemming from anxiety, but she hopes to bounce back soon.
While Rimes’ specific issues are not being laid out on the table, the 30-year-old recently told People she was checking in for mental stress, and not fighting the anorexia battle or relationship issues some of her Twitter followers have been claiming.
"This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them."
Her rep, Marcel Pariseau, seems to confirm the check-in has more to do with the singer’s personal health than any rebounding body issues. Her decision to go to a treatment center may not be as much of a surprise as many of us would guess, however. Back in March, the singer had to postpone some tour dates after being “terrified” to get onstage due to sickness. While I’m sure the flu is pretty sucky, the whole “terrified” to be onstage thing seems to speak to more internal problems.
While Rimes will be taking a bit of a break during the month of September, her staunch fans need not worry. The country singer will still be making concert appearances during her scheduled September dates, which fall during the weekends. During the week she’ll be focusing on her recovery, but she’s too much of a businesswoman to disappoint her fans.
Pop Blend would like to wish the country star the best of luck as she works through whatever issues may be tormenting her.
