LMFAO's Redfoo And SkyBlu Are Done Party Rocking Together
After six years of party rocking together as often as possible, LMFAO’s uncle/ nephew team of Redfoo and SkyBlu have decided to part ways. The former made the announcement this morning but was very clear to point out there isn’t any animosity or hard feelings. The two will always be family and could potentially reunite in the future.
Here’s what Redfoo told news.com.au…
”I think that we naturally just started hanging with two different sets of people, two different crowds, but we're always family. He'll always be my nephew, I'll always be his uncle.”
LMFAO first began attracting attention several years back with the release of its first album Party Rock. The LP generated solid airplay and some lasting buzz, but it was nothing compared to the crazy hoopla that accompanied the second release, Sorry For Party Rocking. Both “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy And I Know It” topped the charts in several countries and received near incessant airplay.
Redfoo has vowed to continue creating music in some capacity, but as a man of many interests, he may well take a step back. He spent many years as a daytrader and financial analyst, and he’s currently coaching rising tennis star Ayaka Okuno. In the months ahead, he’s hoping to begin work on a fashion line as well.
Given the family connection and their enormous popularity, it seems likely Redfoo and SkyBlu will collaborate against in the future. Here’s to hoping when they do, both guys are able to rekindle the magic.
