Beloved country singer Loretta Lynn was hospitalized over the weekend, but the seventy-six year old is reportedly back home and on the mend. The trouble started on Saturday after she awoke with breathing problems on her tour bus. She was in Kentucky to play a concert but decided to head to the hospital as a precaution. Doctors diagnosed her with early stages of pneumonia and asked she cancel that evening’s gig, as well as one the following night to prevent the disease from getting out of hand. She begrudgingly complied. Seeing as how quickly she was released, it seems like the right move to me.

According to Reuters, Lynn is next due to perform on November 3rd in Knoxville, Tennessee, and she’s reportedly planning to follow through on that commitment. That’s hardly a surprise. She’s not your typical senior citizen, and it’s sure as hell going to take something stronger than faint whispers of pneumonia to keep her down.
