Lucky Magazine Apologizes For Poorly Received Britney Spears Cover
When Lucky Magazine executives picked out the picture of Britney Spears they wanted to use on the cover of this month’s issue, they probably thought buyers would be impressed with the cute red skirt and the polka dot black top. Unfortunately, pretty much everyone was far more fascinated by what the hell was going on with her hairline.
Take a look at the cover in question below…
Whatever is on her head might be a wig. It might be a weave, or it might be her real hair. Regardless, it looks really awkward, and apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks so. Lucky Magazine got so much angry feedback about the above cover that they actually publically acknowledged the backlash. Here’s what a spokesman for the company said on Twitter last week…
”Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on our cover! As always, we will share with our team and we're sorry to have let some of you down.”
People in the fashion industry tend to be very critical, but they very rarely acknowledge their own mistakes. God only knows how vicious and consistent the negativity about these Britney pictures must have been to convince Lucky to comment.
Here’s to hoping next month's cover arouses a bit less controversy.
