Photographer Files Lawsuit Against Justin Bieber Over Memory Card
Over the past few weeks, Justin Bieber has been less than excited about having his picture taken. In fact, he allegedly told his bodyguards to confiscate the memory cards of anyone caught taking a picture of him, which sounds like a brilliant, CIA-like scheme to keep himself out of the papers. Unfortunately, the policy has already had several unintended side effects including 5 separate skirmishes which led to some police calls and now, the first of what could be several lawsuits.
According to TMZ, Jeffrey Binion claims one of the Biebsí bodyguards, Hugo Hesny, confronted him outside of a Miami recording studio and took away his memory card. During the confrontation, Hesny allegedly pushed him against the wall and lifted up his shirt to expose a gun, actions that allegedly caused both mental and physical anguish.
Hereís what Binionís lawyer had to say about what happenedÖ
"Justin Bieber is now an adult, and he should act like one. He needs to learn that he cannot use bodyguards as weapons to harm innocent people. Bieberís violent behavior toward photographers must end, and he should take responsibility for his actions."
Because no pictures or medical reports have been released from the incident, itís unclear whether Binion was actually injured during the skirmish or whether he suffered a toe-stubbing like injury and headed to the hospital in case he decided to file a lawsuit against the deep-pocketed Bieber. Either way, itís yet another piece of bad publicity for the pop star and perhaps even worse, a potential strain on his bank account.
Itíll likely take weeks or even months before this mess is sorted out. Thereís even a chance this suit could prompt many more photographs to come out of the woodwork and file their own legal actionólike the John Travolta mess. Regardless of what happens, however, we will make sure and keep you updated.
