President Obama's Photo Op Overshadowed By Adorable Background Kiss

Regardless of what they think of his policies, most people are willing to admit President Obama has a magnetism about him. No matter how many other people are in the room, eyeballs are just normally drawn to him. He always seems like he’s about to say or do something interesting. That’s why he dominates the photo op better than any president since Reagan, at least most of the time.

Earlier this week, the President stopped by a school to meet with some children and take a picture, but he wound up getting horribly upstaged in the best photograph by an elementary school Casanova planting a kiss on a little girl’s cheek. It’s a home run on the cuteness scale, and you should take a look at the evidence below, as passed along by Obama's Twitter account…



These kids are the right age for this to be cute. In like five years, this innocuous kiss on the cheek behind the President would seem rude and way too sexually forward for the situation, but at this moment in time, you just have to smile and go with it. Clearly, the President’s PR people did as much when they decided to go with aww shucks over any of the other pictures that probably made POTUS look better.

Other things I love about this picture include the kid chewing on his not green shirt, the kids behind Obama’s right shoulder reacting to what might be one of their classmates falling and the teacher wandering into the picture to raise holy hell over some unseen troublemaking.
