Rock Star Pete Doherty Sentenced To 6 Months In Jail
Sex, drugs, and Rock n Roll. Most rockers donít get in trouble for their drugging and boozing, but not all of them have that luxury. In the most recent news of celebrity brushes with the law; Pete Doherty, lead singer of British rock group The Libertineís, has gone to jail for possession of cocaine.
Last year in January his close friend Robyn Whitehead passed away and was arrested for cocaine possession during the time he was being interviewed about the death. In April, 2011 he pleaded guilty, and then in a hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London on Friday, Doherty was sentenced to a whopping 6 months in jail. Just hours after he admitted that the death of his friend has left him a Ďbrokení man, he was sentenced.
Some celebrities with drug problems at least attempt to fix their lives, but most have a weaker disposition. The Canít Stand Me Now hit-maker has been battling heroin and crack cocaine addiction for seven years.
