Following the Chris Brown/ Drake brawl at WIP, many expected the two hip-hop stars would wind up paying both in lawsuits and arrests. More than a week later, the crackdown has come, but it hasn’t involved either musician. First, the club’s manager was arrested for unrelated warrants. Later, WIP was shut down by the police on a slew of charges, and various New York politicians announced they would look into the entire idea of letting customers order bottles of liquor. Now, Tony Parker, allegedly an innocent bystander caught between the two tables, has decided to file a lawsuit against the club for not maintaining order.

According to ESPN, the Spurs’ point guard suffered a scratched cornea during the melee, and he wants twenty million dollars as payment. Following the incident, Parker announced he would be fine in time to play during the Olympics. He hasn’t spoken publicly on the matter since the lawsuit was drafted, but I can’t imagine a jury would be excited about awarding him twenty million dollars if he doesn’t wind up missing any basketball at all. Maybe he's more injured than we thought, or maybe he's looking for a quick settlement.

Thus far, neither Chris Brown nor Drake has been named in Parker’s lawsuit, but his attorney is reportedly planning to watch the security footage to see whether either should be included. We’ll keep you updated as this case winds its way through the court system.
