Willie Nelson Loses Trademark Long Locks
Country music legend Willie Nelson has shocked fans by cutting off his trademark long locks in favor of a new shoulder-length hairstyle. The singer is famous for his waist-length tresses and recently revealed he had backed out of taking a pair of scissors to his hair on a number of occasions.
He said, "Well I've threatened to (cut his hair) several times but I've always chickened out." But the 77 year old has finally taken the plunge and chopped off his locks - unveiling his new look at a concert in Maui, Hawaii last weekend (22May10), when he performed with his son Micah's band, The Reflectacles.
Nelson's representative, Elaine Schock, reveals the star had grown tired of taking care of his hair, admitting, "There's a lot of maintenance." (MT/WNWA/KL)
