Reviving the past isnt always the best thing the music industry does. Take a look at my review for the new Rival Sons record and I demonstrate that fairly well. Yet, its not always a bad thing when the past graces my generation of music listeners. With reunions bubbling up all over the place with Buffalo Springfield and Archers of Loaf coming back to the stage, its about time that our favorite psychedelic pop group from the 1960s joins the party. The Zombies have announced their 50th anniversary world tour, and itll surely be an amazing sight to see. The group is known for their elaborate and high energy performances, which can be quite confusing, because the members are all over 60. Here are the tour dates for The Zombies 50th anniversary world tour:
The Zombies 2011 Tour Dates: Are groups from the past more ambitious than our present day counterparts? Maybe. Ask Rush and theyll let you know. What could also provide proof to this is that they are not going on the road with any supporting acts. I know, thats quite a feat to achieve. Whether or not they will be as good as they were 30 years ago is up for debate. Come September 6th though, well see what this tour and the band is capable of. This is an amazing opportunity for the audiences my age to find out about this eclectic and prolific band. After only three albums released, their pinnacle hit Odyssey & Oracle was a masterpiece that was overshadowed by The Beatles Sgt. Peppers and The Beach Boys Animal Sounds of that era. Hopefully this tour will revive the epic record, and equally awesome band, and set them on the map one more time. |
