Official Plot Synopsis
A young man from the wrong side of the tracks has his dream come true when he is accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy. But once there, he is not sure he measures up against the best and the brightest.
If there's a guy who shouldn't be in the military, it's James Franco. He looks like a modern day James Dean (probably why he's played him), and his personality is that of a disaffected rebel, or spoiled rich kid at best. There's absolutely nothing military about him. Terrible miscasting and the movie's trailers only bear that out. Of course, this is a movie with Donnie Wahlberg in it, so it's not like they have any standards. You know you're in trouble when Tyrese is your most talented castmember. Don't expect Annapolis to be anything more than a quickly vanished blip.
