Official Plot Synopsis

Vin Diesel stars as a mercenary hired to deliver a package from the ravages of post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe to a destination in the teeming megalopolis of New York City. The "package" is a mysterious young woman with a secret.

Vin Diesel’s career has been in a tail spin ever since the box office flop of David Twohy’s Pitch Black sequel Chronicles of Riddick. He’s tried and failed to get numerous projects off the ground, before finally getting this done: a movie based on the futuristic novel “Babylon Babies” by Maurice Dantec.
But Babylon A.D.’s production has been fraught with problems and peril. They stopped in mid production, firing crew members and trying to get the thing on track. Eventually Babylon A.D. got done, but now that it’s done word has it that the studio is ripping it to shreds. Word is that a full 70 minutes have been yanked out of the version of the film that will play for American audiences in order to water it down to a PG-13 rating. In a movie only 160 minutes long, that’s nearly half the film that’s gone missing.
I’ve long been a Vin Diesel supporter, but he needs a hit out of Babylon A.D. big time. Sadly, right now things aren’t looking good for the futuristic thriller.

Are you excited for Babylon A.D.?
