Official Plot Synopsis

An outrageous new comedy. In this secret society, the competition is brutal and the stakes are high. It is the unsanctioned, underground, and utterly unhinged world of clandestine Ping-Pong tournaments. Down-and-out former professional Ping-Pong phenom Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler) is sucked into this maelstrom when FBI Agent Rodriguez (George Lopez) recruits him for a secret mission. Randy is determined to bounce back and win, and to smoke out his father’s killer – arch-fiend Feng (Christopher Walken).

Christopher Walken returns to the self-parody that landed him the number 5 spot on our Actor Who Don’t Care list in the latest lame sport makes for funny comedy movie Balls of Fury.

If you feel like you’ve seen this movie before, it’s because you have. It was called Dodgeball and though the balls may have been bigger the idea was a same. Take a sport that Americans feel is incredibly lame and turn it into a comedy stacked with wacky characters. Dodgeball had Alan Tudyk as an inexplicably piratical player and Balls has Thomas Lennon in another pair of way-to-short-shorts.

The film was written and directed by the guys who brought you Reno 911: Miami, which no one saw and even fewer liked. Could Balls of Fury be funny? Probably. The supporting cast is too talented for the film to fail fully. It’s the movie’s lead that’s an unknown quantity, after all who the hell is Dan Fogler? More importantly, who cares? Balls of Fury will try to make you care late this summer.
