A growing number of Evangelical Christians believe there is a revival underway in America that requires Christian youth to assume leadership roles in advocating the causes of their religious movement.

JESUS CAMP, directed by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady (The Boys of Baraka), follows Levi, Rachael, and Tory to Pastor Becky Fischer's "Kids on Fire" summer camp in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, where kids as young as 6 years-old are taught to become dedicated Christian soldiers in "God's army." The film follows these children at camp as they hone their "prophetic gifts" and are schooled in how to "take back America for Christ." The film is a first-ever look into an intense training ground that recruits born-again Christian children to become an active part of America's political future.

Jesus Camp is an awesome movie! I recommend everyone see it! The kids in this film are shown as happy, confident and sure of what they believe. I read one reviewer wistfully commenting that he wished he could be as sure of something in his personal life. This film will definitely make you think about your spirtual upbringing or lack thereof. It may even make you think about Jesus, something I'm sure would please the kids in the movie.

Wow, I think Tracy's comments terrify me even more than the movie.

Tracy, I don't think the way you see this movie is the way most non-brainwashed people are going to see it.

i am a bible believing christian of the age of 15. i do not agree with pastor Becky Fischer's program at all. i do believe in evangalizing, and i love the Lord with everything in me, but i think there are more forces at work than just God in this film. Paul said that there are different maturity levels of different christians and that it is a delicate process in teaching young believers how to reach the maturity level of someone who has been saved for years. I do not agree with Pastor Becky's aproach in bringing 8-12 yearolds to an almost brain washed state of mind in their christianity. this seems more like a cult than a church camp to me. i am filled with the holy spirit and God has moved in my life in some very incredible ways, and right when this movie was turned on my spirit and my connection with the holy-spirit told me the movie was not legit'. not to mention you should probably be careful with any thing that has to do with ted hagart (he supports, helps fund the movie, and "prophosides" over the children at this camp).

i appreciate that the makers of Jesus Camp let the people interviewed do all the talking; over all, there is some useful truth in this flick... as long as it's taken with a grain (or maybe a bucket) of salt
