In the follow-up to the record-breaking smash 2006 hit Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, we find our heroes Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker - while the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, they must forge their way to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Chinese Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat). Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth, each must ultimately choose a side in a final, titanic battle as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of the freedom-loving Pirate way, hangs in the balance.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest may have been a massive financial success, but critically speaking the franchise took a nosedive going into its second film. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is director Gore Verbinski's chance to do more than make a lot of cash, it]s his last chance to return his piratical franchise to being good again.

Let's face it, making money with these movies is easy. After the first movie was discovered by audiences (by some in theaters and others on DVD), there was such a hunger for more of Captain Jack Sparrow, that Disney could have shoved any old thing out in theaters and made insane amounts of money off of it. That's exactly what they did. The Pirates crew took a more is better approach to the second film and jam-packed it with so many special effects and so many fantastical new monsters that the things that made the first movie so much fun in the first place were almost completely overwhelmed by special effects. Pirates of the Caribbean stopped being a pirate movie and became animated monsters of the high seas.

No one who's really a fan of the first movie wants that.

They got away with it for one film, and pre-primed, easy to please audiences walked away happy. But they'll need to do more than throw a big bucket full of computer generated paint at the screen for the second movie. We've been there, done that now. At World's End is the franchise's chance to get back to focusing on what made this thing so great: Pirates. Not talking fish.

Verbinski needs to buckle his swash and return to the world of high-seas scallywags we�re supposed to be knee deep in. The first movie balanced fantasy and swordplay capably, both found a place in the film. They can do it again, and the return of Captain Barbosa in the second movie should help them do that. The more pirates they add, the more giant McGuffin toting squids they can subtract. With Barbosa and his undead monkey back causing trouble, At World's End has a chance.

Pirates lover. Are you one of the fans who hate Will and only want Jack to get together with Elizabeth because you think Johnny Depp is cute? If so, it's annoying to the Will fans. I LOVE Orlando Bloom, he is soooo cute. I hope he is not gay though, I hear alot of those jokes. Any way. Are you the fan who's in love with the person and character, or just thinks that it would make a cuter couple? Because to me, there is no one else for Elizabeth but Will Turner. Hear this, Elizabeth Turner, or Elizabeth Sparrow. Turner for sure!!!!!

Paula, I don't dislike you, I'm just a loyal fan to Orlando (WILL). And the girl who plays Elizabeth, her name is spelled KIERA KNIGHTLEY. Hope that helps. O yeah, I am also a bigger fan of the first movie too. Then the third movie, then the second, I still like the second movie, but it isn't as good as the first and third. I went to the third premiere and it was amazing!:)

Hello everyone! Just so you know, you can always read the book. Although let me say, it stinks! It's only a kids version. Anyway, did you see the ending seen of the third POTC film? I mean after the credits. The little boy was the same boy they used in the beginning of the movie that was hung. I was talking with other POTC fans and it's possible that they did that on purpose. That the little boy was their son, and that was the future and the son helped his dad, a pirate, and was getting punished. I hope not. What do you think?

Also, if you go onto wikipedia and put Pirates of the Caribbean into it and then put Will Turner in, you can get extra info. If you haven't seen the third movie yet, then don't try it untilll you see the movie. If you go to the bottom you will see that it shows you the main things Will did in the three movies. If you look at the section where it says At World's End, it will talk about the ending credits and explain the whole ending to you. It will tell you that the sword Will was stabbed with was the sword he made in the first movie, went to Norrington, Lord Beckett, back to him, Davy Jones, Will turner. It will also tell you that there was a scene that said Elizabeth's long wait freed Will from his curse. Don't believe me, Go to Wiki and check it out!!!!!!

ORLANDO YOU ARE SOOOOOOO CUTE IN THE PIRTAES MOVIES! i know you want to move onto bigger and better things, but there is nothing that's bigger snd better than pirates!!!!!! I'm a big fan of yours, I have soo many posters of you, but the movies you have been in besides Pirates, stunk. Lord of the Rings was big, but noone really knew who you were then. Now EVERYONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stick to the POTC movies and give your fans what they REALLY WANT, You in the POTC movies! And make sure you are alive. The ending of POTC 3 where you were stabbed, sucked. :)

Also, So you Know. the tickets to go see the premeire were $1,500. It was awsome though! Kiera couldn't make it because she was shooting a movie in Europe. That what they told us. Orly was there, so was Jhonny, Geoffrey, and Bill. Also, did you know that Geoffry Rush was in a movie with Orlando Bloom BEFORE POTC? He was in Ned Kelly, rated R, with him. Never saw it, but heard about it. Check it out.

Simona was right, Johnny Depp was born in 1963, he's 44. Also, Orlando was born in 1977, Jan,13. So he's 30. His half birthday is this Friday, July 13. And Kiera was born in 1985 making her 22. Or something like that. I got most of that info from Wikipedia. LOVE IT. Gives you lots of info you might need. Also, does anyone know where on th internet to get an Elizabeth Swann costume? I mean the Nightgown that she wears in the first movie. I already have the necklace, I just need the costume.

I love the movies they are the best movies in the world they are my favorite movies and I would love it if there would be a fourth movie and for the third movie to come out soon and Keira Knightley is the most BEUTIFULL person in the world ( my opinion ) all the main characters are my most favorite stars in the world all these movies are the best you dont know how much I love it.

I NEED AN -ONLY JACK AND A LITTLE OF BARBOSA- PIRATES 4 MOVIE, THERE WAS TOO MUCH ELIZABETH/WILL IN THE 3RD ONE, THAT SUCKED.

MULTIPLE JACKS SCENE WAS PERFECT, AND SO WEIRD, THAT'S WHY I LOVED IT.

UP IS DOWN SCENE MADE ME JUMP (LISTEN TO THE SOUNDTRACK)

JACK AND BARBOSA SCENES WERE MAGNIFICENT, THERE WERE ALSO, A COUPLE OF GREAT SCENES WITH DAVY JONES (I LIKE THIS TENTACLE GUY) WICH INCLUDE ELIZABETH AND WILLIAM TOO, BUT NOT THE ONES WITH ELIZABETH KEIRA KNIGWOWILALAWGLEY (I REALLY DON'T REMEMBER HER LAST NAME, I'M A LATIN WOMAN, THAT COUNTS) SCREAMING LIKE A LUNATIC. OH WAIT! THAT WAS THE WHOLE MOVIE! :I

SPECIAL EFFECTS, WELL I DON'T NEED TO SPEAK ABOUT THAT.

I HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE TEN TIMES, I REALLY LIKE IT, BUT I'M VERY LOYAL TO THE 1ST ONE.

Guys! What 'bout Norrington? Is he dead dead? I mean, nearly everyone killed in the previous series finally resurrected. Most of the present characters have once been dead: all the pirate ship's crew and Barbossa has been dead twice and Jack the Sparrow, and this Bootstrap and Will are kind of half-dead and so on. Do you think James Norrington will ressurect in the fourth part? I mean, I believe there'll be the fourth part? What do you think, guys? Doesn't poor Norrington deserve a second chance? Do you, perhaps, have some information on the score?

OH-EM-EFF-GEE. I thought Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was AMAZING and the BEST. No, I'm not some silly fangirl. I don't even like guys. I just thought it was very, very good. I even liked it better than Pirates 1. (Pirates 2 is my least favorite but still, in my opinion, a very good movie).

Pirates 3 is going to be GREAT!!!!!!!
Me and the whole family are going memorial day weekend.
The Pirates movies are great for so many reasons, but especially the fact that the whole family can go and have a good time.
