Taxi SynopsisJimmy Fallon isn’t that funny. Sure, he did a nice job on SNL behind the “Update” desk, but most of that was just great chemistry with Tina Fey. Let’s face it; the real talent in that duo is Tina, not Jimmy.
No, Jimmy is famous because he’s cute or pretty or however you ladies would like to classify his unique brand of not-ugliness. He’s no Tom Cruise, but when compared to the likes of Chris Parnell or Horatio Sanz… hell he’s one sexy looking Adonis.
Jimmy Fallon is mostly successful because comedians are usually painfully ugly and he isn’t. Great for him, now who the heck was stupid enough to give this guy his own action movie?
Action movie is what Taxi is, and in it Fallon plays a cop without a license. A remake of a similarly named French movie, this version has Fallon’s character hopping in a cab to chase down the bad guys, and is lucky enough to be riding with Queen Latifah… who just happens to have a transforming super-cab. They then dish out their own brand of um… super-cab justice on all sorts of naughty criminals. Will Jimmy ever pass his driver’s test? Will Queen Latifah get all up in someone’s face? These questions and more are raised by the trailer. To get the answers, well you’ll just have to see the movie.
