After a terrifying bus accident maroons a diverse group of young adventure travelers in a remote Brazilian beach town, they slowly discover that the white sand beaches and lush jungles are concealing a darker, unsettling secret.

When 20th Century Fox launched their new Fox Atomic division earlier this year, they did so under the auspices of making it their teen friendly appendage. But let's call it like it really is. Fox Atomic is their trend cash-in division.
For proof look no further than the newly foaled studio's first release, Turistas. Even a teenager can see it's nothing more than a rip-off of Hostel. The sick twisted minds of Americans and their youth lust for blood more than ever before, and movies like Turistas are only too eager to deliver.
While legitimate filmmakers get run out of theaters for showing a nipple, the grizzliest forms of torture imaginable are being filmed and marketed by Hollywood's "teen divisions". A little guts and blood is all in good fun, but projects like this barely qualify as movies at all. They don't bother with story or characters, just figuring out new ways to revel in the disturbed and brutal. It's a brand new kind of porn, more sick and twisted than anything you'll find in a midget fetish video. Fox Atomic is only too happy to deliver it.
If Fox Atomic is a teen division, then what are they doing making rated-R films? Is Turistas only intended for kids ages 17-19? That's a pretty narrow age-range guys. No, they're not idiots. They know like anyone else that underage kids are already planning to sneak in. That's where their money's at. You can't use Joe Camel to market cigarettes to minors, but a decapitation or two doesn't seem to matter.
So start salivating now kids, print up your fake ID's or begin begging your irresponsible trailer trash parents to accompany you to the theater for the latest entry in Hollywood's burgeoning snuff porn business. They're cheap to make, and incredibly profitable. It's a brand new era in entertainment.
