The Kickstarter campaign for single-player RPG Shadowrun Returns has been a smashing success. Less than a week after starting the fund-raising drive, developer Harebrained Schemes LLC has received almost double their goal of $400,000.
Shadowrun creator Jordan Weisman is hoping to make a PC and tablet game that does justice to the pen-and-paper role-playing game. In order to secure money for this project, Shadowrun Returns, he and Harebrained Schemes LLC have turned to the crowd-funding website Kickstarter.
