New movie soundtrack releases hitting Amazon, iTunes, and shelves (for you old schoolers) on October 30, 2007.
Bee Movie
Rupert Gregson-Williams is fairly new on the soundtrack scene. His only other score of note was his colaborative
soundtrack work with Ben Folds on Over The Hedge. This time he's flying solo, pulling together music for
the mediocre Bee Movie. From what I've heard of it so far, this one's only for the die-hard enthusiasts who
insist on owning every soundtrack ever made. But keep your eye on Rupert. When he gets a chance at meatier
movies, he might be capable of some pretty cool stuff.
I'm Not There
A movie about Bob Dylan, which stars six different actors playing the lead role, is best fit with a soundtrack full
of songs by Bob Dylan covered by a host of different performers. The two disc set includes the popular "All Along
The Watchtower" sung by Eddie Vedder and "As I Went Out One Morning" in the stylings of Mira Billotte. Whether you
even care about seeing the movie or not, there are some good songs in this package that any Dylan fan would enjoy.
Oh, and as is only appropriate, the final song on the set is Dylan himself singing none other than "I'm Not There".
