Silvestri Offers Sneak Listen To Beowulf Score
Robert Zemeckis is rolling the dice once again as he takes his actor-motion-captured CG technology into the realm of grown-up movies with this winter's Beowulf. But there was no gambling with the movie's score. Zemeckis once again teamed with long time partner Alan Silvestri to create the music for the film and it's safe to say there's nothing cartoonish about Silvestri's creation.

The guys at Tracksounds! scrounged up some YouTube footage from a major film festival in Madrid this summer where Silvestri treated audiences to some of his work. Silvestri himself directs the full orchestra and full choir, and even though the sound quality of the clip is lacking, the music itself is excellent. There's an epic storytelling quality to it, and I hope the movie itself somehow finds a way to match.
