With all the potential of the Internet, from YouTube to Google Video to all the things in between, who needs television? With that in mind, we present CB Tube, a weekly random selection of whatever appeals to us online. We select, you watch, just like real TV, but we make no promises about entertainment value… just like real TV.
I have no idea where this week’s clip actually came from, but it’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen on YouTube in quite a while. We all know the classic Charlie Brown Christmas special, but the cast of Scrubs has taken it in a new direction. They’ve done an in-character voice over dub of the animated special. Charlie Brown is now J.D., Linus is Dr. Cox, etc.
I have no idea what inspired the actors to provide in-character lines like this, but it was a stroke of genius. The dialog gets a little more blue than the television show usually gets (one of the benefits of not having television censors I guess), so be warned this probably isn’t work safe, but it’s still a riot. Here are Zach Braff, John C. McGinley, Donald Faizon, and the rest of the crowd playing their Scrubs characters in The Charlie Brown Christmas Special:
