CB Tube: Shatner Serenades George Lucas

We select, you watch, just like real TV, but we make no promises about entertainment value… just like real TV.

What better way to start off a new column than by using one of the most popular people around Cinema Blend: William Shatner. Some of our staff’s love of The Shat is so widespread and well known that restraining orders have been issued. But how do you make Shatner better? How about by having him serenade George Lucas along with a Stormtrooper kickline?

This week’s clip comes via YouTube and is a clip from the 2005 AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards, which bestowed George Lucas with its honor. Clearly, Lucas doesn’t know what to make of Shatner, which is even more incentive for all of that Star Trek/Wars crossover fan-fiction. Anything that befuddles George can’t be all that bad.
