Casio's Tough Movement Synchronizes Watches
The problem with your average wristwatch is that it eventually starts to “lose time.” One day you start noticing that leaving the house at 8 a.m. begins to look a lot like 8:02. There are ways to fight this, and Casio is looking to improve your time management with Tough Movement. The new movement is shock resistant and made of metal and plastic parts to reduce weight.

The movement uses an LED light to determine if the second, hour and minute hands are off at all. At the 55th minute of each hour time calibration signals are sent to the watch from 6 bases around the world. The LED flashes 16 times a second to determine how accurate everything is working, and if any part is determined to be off it is fixed immediately.

The first wristwatch to utilize the technology will be the GS-120, which will retail in Japan for about $390.
